The world’s greatest live band goes indie! Recently, Pearl Jam self-released, “Live at the Gorge 05/06, a 7-CD live set of the three sold-out shows that bookended the band’s ’06 world tour. The multi-disc set includes the world tour opener, September 1, 2005 (the most downloaded show in Pearl Jam history), and great originals like the rarely played Hard to Imagine, Dirty Frank, Undone, and In My Tree, as well as tons of covers like Crown of Thorns (Mother Love Bone), I Believe In Miracles (Ramones), and I Won’t Back Down (Tom Petty).

The really cool thing, too, is that the show marked the first time playing the songs from their recent, eponymous album. And you can get a copy of the sampler CD, featuring fantastic (and high quality) versions of just about every song from their latest record as well as other high quality gems from the tour.

Live at the Gorge E-Card.

Low Light-Pearl Jam (From the Gorge sampler that could win!)

I’ve Just Seen A Face (Beatles cover)-Pearl Jam. (A classic cover, to whet your appetite for what’s on the other CDs!)

    Leash!

Saw them last summer, and one of the few songs I wanted to hear that they didn’t play was “Go.” That or “Whipping” would have turned an A into an A+.

“Sonic Reducer” could go on the list as well.

  5. Zander says:

Probably “Smile” or the cover of Neil Young’s “Fuckin Up” (off Ragged Glory) that they do every now and then.

  6. Ryan Anderson says:

Every song by PJ is great and I’m a huge fan of every cover I’ve discovered them doing. I know I couldn’t pick one but for risk of me rambling for days on which song I would love for them to sing I guess it would have to be a cover of “7 Nation Army” by the White Stripes.

  7. Ryan Fabian says:

Man, I’d love to hear Release…

  8. Levi says:

Crown Of Thorns by Mother Love Bone and as originals go; I’d say Untitled leading into MFC.

  9. Jeff says:

gotta go with Debaser by the Pixies. I think Eddie and the rest would kill that song.

  10. Alex says:

I would love to hear them play “No Way”

  11. walt says:

I’ve only been able to see them a couple of times. But have spent half of my life listening to PJ.
I’m gonna go with Dave Arthurs previous request of a Clash song, but i’d like to hear “Straight to Hell”

The song I missed the most from the set they played when I saw them was Mankind. They surprised me by playing pretty much everything else I was hoping to hear that night. It was a prety awesome show with Sonic Youth opening to boot.

    Hello,

It is difficult to choose, but when I have then I think the best song is Black. A great song. Everytime a celebration to hear how they reinvent it. Thank you.

    Best wishes, Rene.

    Great Contest… Thanks!!!!!
Like everyone else, I’m a huge Pearl Jam fan… the funny thing is that when the Evenflow video started playing on MTV, I hated the song! I really hated it. However, I bought the “Ten” cassette, and never looked back since. With that, when they come back to play Detroit, I would love to hear them play DEEP!!
    Thanks again for this contest!

Original: Rival (havent seen that like ever)
Cover: Roadhouse Blues (covered with the Doors at RRHOF and with the Birdman)

  16. Kelly says:

I’ve only seen them once and they played a bunch of my favorites, but there are obviously tons of originals and covers I’ve never heard live. Trusting that a repeat of “Dock of the Bay” isn’t on the way, I’d have to select “Black” as much for the crowd reaction and sing-a-long as the actual song.

  17. Nate says:

I’d like to hear Pearl Jam play In My Tree…seen em twice, but they didn’t play it either time!

well… I’ve been thinking about the question. I think I’d like to ear “A Sort Of Homecoming” played by Pearl Jam… It’s an original U2 song; Pearl Jam sometimes have been played several seconds of this song on the past year live tour before his “Elderly Woman…”, but never have been played entire….

  19. Kevin says:

Admittedly a die-hard fan, I have seen many shows and been privileged enough to hear the songs that meant the most to me; save one. Knowing the passion Eddie has for Townshend and his music and the resulting cover versions that stir my emotions, I’d love to hear “Reign O’er Me” live. Only played once live thus far, I’ve heard there might need to be some practice on the keyboards but nonetheless this is the song I want to hear live. Somehow I need to make it to Lolla and then hope for this to be included.

  20. lindsey says:

    Fuckin’ Up.

    Thanks!
