Scion (yes, the car made by Toyota), has once again produced a damn fine mixtape. This is a great example of how big corporations can help foster independent art, and for that alone Scion A/V deserves mad props. The great music is just gravy. Previous joints have featured the likes of Guru, Raekwon, GZA, and MF Doom. This one, the sixteenth in their ongoing series, features Buffalo, NY’s DJ Cutler, a true master of crate-digging, looping and scratching. He won Scion’s Free Up Your Mix contest, which may be why he’s the featured DJ on this release, but has put together a mix that showcases his formidable talent. Fans of the Buffalo scene will recognized local emcees on many of the cuts, and those who don’t know—now you will.

Or will you? The material is only available as promotional give-aways. Too bad. Check out the site to learn more.
