WHERE'S BERKELEY PLACE?

"Berkeley Place” is about 6 blocks of Brooklyn real estate, emerging from Sackett St. and ending at Banana Hill, a small park that grows a foot each year from accumulated dog crap and dead rats. Though its denizens have gotten wealthier over the decades, Berkeley Place still houses folks of all backgrounds with interests in, well, everything.
MISSION STATEMENT

1. We will listen to all submissions of entire albums (e-mail me to submit). Our preferred format is to receive a CD in the mail, but we also welcome .zip files. See submission policy, below. 2. We will review (post on) only those submissions that we can recommend. So don't submit to us if you will be offended by not getting a review. 3. With rare exceptions, will not promote material protected by the RIAA--we will do so only when the band is small, top notch, provides legal links to permitted material, and is on a small, imprint distributed by a major label. So Sony, BMG, etc., don't start sending me crap. Until you call off your dogs, I'm not interested.
BERKELEY PLACE WELCOMES ALL SUBMISSIONS.
SUBMISSION RULES:
1. HOW TO SUBMIT: (1) Send me an e-mail with an attached zip file of your material; or (2) Send me a CD through snail mail (e-mail me for my address). DO NOT SEND ME MYSPACE LINKS.
2. If you just send me a website address, I cannot guarantee that I will have time to go there and figure out how your specific site offers music.
3. If you just send one or two mp3s, it is unlikely that I will review them. We're about albums here. However, we make exceptions for music that knocks my socks off.
4. Please indicate if you DO NOT want me to offer your music for download. Otherwise, if you send it to me, I'll assume that you do. If I like what you send me, I will feature your work.
5. E-mail address to tell me to remove something. I'll take it down within 24 hours.
